Dana Current is a Senior Vice President and Wealth Management Advisor at the Merrill Lynch North Florida Complex headquarters in Jacksonville, Florida. Originally from Westport, Connecticut, Dana graduated from Bryant University with a degree in Business Management and has been with Merrill Lynch since 1987. He has achieved the Certified Private Wealth Advisor and Chartered Retirement Plan Counselor designations and has been recognized by NABCAP and other publications. Dana has substantial experience assisting wealthy individuals, families and small-to-medium sized businesses with complex investment, retirement and estate planning. In 1990, Dana established The Current/Sherman Group Wealth Management Advisory team at Merrill Lynch in Jacksonville Florida. Presently, his team of twelve professionals are responsible for more than $1 billion in financial assets. In addition to his time serving on the HEAL! board, Dana has been an active member of many civic and charitable organizations, including the Rotary Club of Jacksonville, the Metropolitan Lions Club and the Discovery Montessori School. Dana has also been a volunteer youth coach for the YMCA and Ponte Vedra Junior Developmental Football. Dana, his wife Jane and their children, Emily and Charlie, are active members of Christ Episcopal Church and have been residents of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida since 1989.
