Eugene Monroe

Eugene Monroe was born in Plainfield, NJ and split time growing up in South Plainfield, NJ. He is one of 16 siblings. Eugene made a way by faith, and being steadily focused on achieving in both the classroom
and athletics. He worked his way to earning a scholarship to the University of Virginia and completed his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. The Jacksonville Jaguars selected Eugene with the eighth pick of the first round in the 2009 NFL Draft.

Eugene has a passion for youth. He strives to learn how he can extend himself to improve the quality of life and impact the future of children. His involvement in children with autism sparked at a young age. His mother (Stephanie Green) had been a care taker for children with autism for a number of years. Memories, and the possibility of improving the lives of the children, their families, and the issues they deal with on a daily basis are the fuel for Eugene's passion.
