The HEAL Foundation is proud to announce that over one million dollars have been awarded through grants throughout Northeast Florida since 2007. HEAL encourages the submission of grants from individuals and organizations working to improve the lives of individuals with autism in Northeast Florida. Grants are reviewed in the fall and spring of each year. Our monthly newsletters have updates on when to submit a grant.

HEAL is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Foundation created to assist those affected by Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). The HEAL Foundation will accept applications from individuals or non-profit organizations. The Foundation values community-based collaborations, inclusive programming, or projects that incorporate parents, teachers, adults, and children as advisors, supporters, or volunteers.

Applications for projects, programs, or equipment, which will enhance, enrich, or improve the lives of children with ASD are encouraged. Funds may also be used for workshops or assemblies to educate parents, faculty, administrators, and "typical children" on the high prevalence of autism, as well as how to accommodate and assimilate children with ASD into their communities.

To research personal financial aid grants visit Autism Cares or the National Autism Association. HEAL does not have the capability to make individual grants at this time.

In keeping with the vision and mission of HEAL, funds will be considered for grants that demonstrate aspects of the following:

  • Assisting individuals on the autism spectrum
  • Focusing on improving the lives of families in the Greater Jacksonville area
  • Providing low-cost or free programs
  • Fostering community support through matching funds or fees

All grant recipients must agree to provide the HEAL Foundation with the names and contact information of their participants along with any appropriate photos, videos or media coverage of their project.
