Scholarships available for art camp @MOCA
 This summer the Museum of Contemporary Art Jacksonville will introduce Rainbow Artists: Art and Autism Across the Spectrum, an education initiative designed to address the needs of children with autism spectrum disorders. The Rainbow Artists Summer Art Camp Experience 2008 will provide tuition-free, inclusionary experiences for 14 children ages 6-12 with ASD within the existing Museum program artcamp@MOCA.
artcamp@MOCA is designed to offer children of all abilities quality creative experiences by providing innovative and exciting studio projects around particular themes or processes and using the galleries as a learning environment. Apply now! Deadline to receive applications is Wednesday, June 25th.

Travolta Film Camp Underway

50
participants in the HEAL Film Camp eagerly arrive every morning at University
of North Florida at 10 am and are greeted by a big smile and high fives from filmmaker
Joey Travolta. Travolta and his crew of
11 producers, directors, and film crew are in town to make a film titled "Free
To Be Me". During the camp the participants learn to do
story boards , write scripts, edit and direct. And get behind the cameras.

Green Our Vaccine Rally Was A Huge Success!
On
June 4, 2008 the Green our Vaccines March & Rally advocating vaccine
safety, occurred in Washington
D.C. with hosts Jenny McCarthy
and Jim Carrey. Rally speakers included: Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Dr. Jay
Gordon, Dr. Jerry Kartzinel, Dr. Boyd Hayley and the hosts Jim & Jenny.
HEAL
was a sponsor of this event along with Jim Carrey & Jenny McCarthy,
Talk about Curing Autism - TACA, Moms Against Mercury, and Generation Rescue.
More
than 40 autism and environmental organizations supported these efforts and an
estimated over 8,500 individuals participated. All 50 states
were represented including families from Mexico,
Canada and the Philippines.
This
historic event was covered by more than 500 TV stations across the United States,
